This spacious home is located right on Garrison Lake with views of the Pacific Ocean.  The side of the home facing the lake and ocean is all windows, including a roomy sun-porch, so you can enjoy this tremendous view all day long, relaxing in comfortable bamboo chairs, eating your meals at the dining table or gazing out the window over the kitchen sink.

The living room/kitchen area is open and airy, looking out onto the sun-porch and the views beyond.  On the main floor of the home there are three very comfortable bedrooms (two with queen beds and one with two twins) and two full bathrooms.  One bedroom looks onto the lake/ocean with a sliding glass door opening onto a deck.  There is also a futon couch which sleeps two on the sun-porch.

There is a large downstairs area with a bedroom that has two queen sized beds, an enclosed porch with a ping pong table to entertain the kids, a two car garage as well as eight bicycles of various sizes for the entire family to use.  The home is located right on the lake, so bring along your kayaks or canoe and launch them right from the yard.

The home has been lovingly refurbished by the new owners.  It features a fully stocked kitchen, all new furniture and furnishings (including 100% cotton sheets that feel great!) and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

If you are not familiar with Port Orford, it is a very unique coastal community.  Founded in 1851, Port Orford is the oldest platted townsite on the Oregon coast and the most westerly city in the continental U.S.  Port Orford has spectacular seascapes, uncrowded beaches and an abundance of fresh air and wild winds.

The port of Port Orford is the only natural, open water port for 600 miles and only one of six "dolly" ports in the world.  Fishing boats can't be moored in the harbor due to it being unprotected from southerly winds, so the boats are hoisted in and out each day.

Port Orford has a very active artistic community, with many art galleries owned and operated by working artists, including some genuinely world-class talents.

For the outdoor enthusiast, the Port Orford area offers ocean surfing, windsurfing, fishing, boating, hiking, beachcombing, crabbing, clamming and more.  Hikers who make it to the top of the three mile trail up Humbug Mountain are rewarded with impressive vistas of the Oregon coast.  The hike thru lovely virgin forests includes groves of the rare Port Orford Cedar.

Port Orford is filled with interesting and quirky people, an unhurried atmosphere and no stop lights.  It has a unique style and relaxing energy that sets it apart from other coastal communities.
